‘Steps to Life’

JD Foot and mouth arts presents a group art exhibition showcasing the paintings cum handicraft work created by disabled persons from 4th to 6th February 2019 at World Trade Centre, Centre – 1, North Lounge, Cuffe Parade, Mumbai between 11am to 7pm. It is the second edition of this unique event organized by JD Foot and Mouth arts by Mr. Uttam Kumar Bharadwaj towards the empowerment of disabled persons display the works of about 194 disabled school children covering vivid strata of society under one roof. Uniqueness of this exhibition is that it is being held in south Mumbai for the first times on such a large scale and intends to achieve the empowerment of disabled persons by presenting them their works so as to reach the potential buyers of arts.

Mr. Uttam Kumar Bharadwaj is a feet artist and member of JD Foot and mouth arts a group of disabled artists. He is himself disabled artist since birth. He and this group are engaged in imparting skills such as paintings and handicrafts to the disabled individuals by empowering them to earn their living with  respect in the society. He has so far arranged 6 such group art exhibitions at different places all over India the last one being held at New Delhi which was sponsored by PMO India to promote the cultural heritage of India.

Through this exhibition & the group action rties, The organisers aim to create a platform for children who are born disabled or are accidentally disabled, arrange the counseling workshops and training to them and then exhibit their work on large scale so as to reach the prospective clients and buyers. The organizers also intend to provide them full times employment and the desired marketing skills to earn their livelihood with respect in life.

It is indeed an amazing social work towards a noble cause and certainly a good opportunity for all in the present art world to enjoy various facets of visual fine arts created and presented by about 194 disabled school children on a common platform and get duly enlightened by their relevant hues in apt arenas and perspectives.

It is hoped that this unique event will receive good public response and appreciations from the present art world leading to the desired empowerment of these disabled artists under one roof which will result into the due encouragement and motivation to them as well as the organizer Mr. Uttam Kumar Bharadwaj in their future art journey.
